MASSAGE THERAPY
Massages typically last an hour to an hour and a half and can be as interactive as you prefer.  It is best for the owner to hold their horse during the massage to answer any questions about the horse's behavior, touchy spots, health history, etc.

Each session consists of an evaluation, massage and stretching to ensure your horse gets the most out of their time with me.  During the evaluation portion of the session, you will be asked about your horse's history, including any issues they have been having (not bending to one side or another is an indication of muscle tension, stress points or trigger points in muscles in the neck; resisting to side-pass is an indication of tension, stress points or trigger points in the chest or inner legs, etc), training schedule and any other information that will help me to focus on those particular areas.  Throughout the entire session, you will be walked through what is being done to your Horse and I will give you some tools to administer yourself in between appointments, including some easy stretching.  As a C.E.S.M.T., I do not diagnose and will always defer to your Vet.  Remember that Massage Therapy is NOT a substitute for veterinary care.

Demonstrations and clinics for 4-H groups, clubs, organizations, etc. are a very informative way to understand the many benefits of massage and to see how a horse reacts to a massage.  If you would like more information on demonstrations or a clinic, please contact Equine Healing Hands LLC via e-mail or phone.

If you are a non-profit or rescue, please contact Equine Healing Hands to see how we can work together to help the horses.
